The RJD led Mahaghtbandhan has taken an early lead in the Bihar Assembly Polls as it leads on 95 seats, as per data reported by Zee News.
The RJD leads on 71 seats and Congress leads on the remaining 23.
The BJP-JD(U) NDA alliance meanwhile is not too far behind as it leads in 83 seats. In the NDA tally, the BJP leads on 56 seats and the JD(U) leads on the remaining 27.
Most exit polls have called the election in favour of the Mahaghathbandhan, tipping Lalu Prasad Yadav's son Tejaswi as a favourite for the Chief Ministerial post.
If the results hold on, it would mean an end of Nitish Kumar's era at the helm of the Bihar administrative setup. Nitish Kumar has been the Chief Minister of the state since 2005 and has been credited with pulling the state out of the Jungle Raj which plagued Bihar in Lalu's time.
