Amid farmer protests around Delhi and increasing discourse on the need to reform the distressed agriculture sector, a farmer based in Maharashtra's Bhiwandi has purchased a helicopter to travel, reports Business Today.

Janardhan Bhoir, a farmer and entrepreneur, bought the helicopter for Rs 30 crores at a friend's suggestion as he often travels to places without airports for his dairy business.

The farmer said that he often travels to Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat for his dairy business. He is said to have purchased the helicopter to decrease his travel for long hours.

"I have to frequently travel for my business, that's the reason I bought a helicopter. I need it often to look after my dairy business and farming," Janardhan told local reporters.

Bhoir is building a garage, a helipad, a pilot room and a technician room on his 2.5 acre-land at his village.

Along with the business of farming and dairy, Janardhan has also a real-estate business. He owns many warehouses around Bhiwandi and earns good money from the rent.
