Comments made in an interview to CNN-News18 by former Delhi Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Shiela Dikshit came as a shocker especially in the Congress camps when she said the former Prime Minister's reaction to the 26/11 Mumbai attacks was "not as strong and determined" as that of PM Modi’s after the Pulwama attacks, reports The Times of India.
The comment came in an interview where Dikshit was asked about the 26/11 attacks, she reportedly said that "Manmohan Singh, yes, I agree with you, was not as strong and determined as Modi."
However, she reportedly took a safe side by adding that Modi does everything for politics.
Soon after her comments created waves in the news, she took to Twitter to clarify her statement saying that her comments in the interview were twisted.
I have seen some media is twisting my comments made in an interview. Here is what I said - it may seem to some people that Mr Modi is stronger on terror but I think this is a poll gimmick more than anything else..

However, BJP President Amit Shah took a jibe at the Congress and thanked the former Delhi CM for "reiterating what the nation already knows."
Thank you @SheilaDikshit ji for reiterating what the nation already knows but the Congress party is never ready to admit.https://t.co/k7xqIgOa4r

Reports suggest that her comments caused a huge embarrassment to Congress just ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
