Mann Ki Baat had begun in October 2014 and has since then had 53 episodes wherein Modi spoke about various topics like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, healthcare, constitution, technology, drug abuse among others.
The finale episode of the first series was aired on 24 February, just before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections commenced. PM Modi had said that the radio programme was a “sublime experience” for him.
The radio programme has always encouraged people to share their views on themes and issues. The trend would continue in the second term as well.
“PM Narendra Modi looks forward to sharing his thoughts on themes and issues that matter to you. The Prime Minister invites you to share your ideas on topics he should address on,” the government said, adding that phone lines will remain open from 11 June to 26 June.
