Congress party leaders pasted objectionable posters on Shanti Express which runs between Ahmedabad and Indore.

The posters read "chowkidar chor hai" targeting Prime Minister Modi while featuring photographs of Congress President Rahul Gandhi, party General Secretary of Uttar Pradesh East Priyanka Gandhi Vadra along with Madhya Pradesh Congress Secretary Vivek Khandelwal.

Speaking to ANI, Jitendra Kumar Jayant Senior PRO of Western Railways said that a case has been registered against the perpetrators under Railways Act.

He added that “The posters were pasted when the train was parked in the yard. And the posters were immediately removed after they got to know of the incident”.

As per a Press Trust of India report, two Congress leaders have been booked for this act by the Railway Protection Force (RPF). The leaders have been identified as Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) secretary Vivek Khandelwal and city Congress Committee spokesperson Girish Joshi.

The RPF has also informed the Election Commission about this incident.
