Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project: NHSRCL Opens Bids For 8 Km Viaduct And HSR Station In Gujarat, L&T Lowest Bidder

The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has opened financial bids for design and construction of about 8 km length of the viaduct in Gujarat including one HSR station at Vadodara for Mumbai Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) corridor.

Indian infrastructure giant L&T has emerged as the lowest bidder for the design and construction of the 8 km long viaduct.

NHSRCL is the implementing agency for the 508 km Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project.

"The financial bids of two technically qualified bidders were opened and Larsen & Toubro Limited is the lowest bidder," the NHSRCL said in a statement on Friday (10 December).

Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Project is 508 km long and out of the total length of the project, 352 km lies in the state of Gujarat (348 Km) and Dadra and Nagar Haveli (4 km), and the balance 156 km lies in the state of Maharashtra.

Out of 352 km, the civil contracts of 343 km are already awarded. L&T is the executing agency for 325 km length, through two packages awarded to them.
