Two men, identified as Hamid Khan alias Akhtar and Shatrajit Yadav have been taken into custody by the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police for supplying at least 50 Bangladeshis with fake Indian documents like Aadhaar, PAN cards and even passports, reports Hindustan Times.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Detection) Akbar Pathan revealed that in the raids carried out at the shops run by the two men, police had seized a number of forged documents as well machines used to print them.

The two had divided their work in such a manner that Akhtar would find foreigners who wanted fake Indian documents, while Yadav would produce these documents for them.

The arrest of duo comes just two days after two Bangladeshi nationals were detained at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport for trying to use fake Indian passports to travel abroad.
