A new Pakistan-backed and funded terror outfit called The Resistance Front (TRF) has come up in the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) after the Parliament had decided to abrogate the Article 370 of the Constitution, reports Hindustan Times.

The establishment of the TRF comes as Pakistan's deep state tries to give an impetus and indigenous face to terrorism in the Kashmir Valley. The security officials tracking the terror-related activities have also found that the TRF is backed by the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

It should be noted that the TRF had owned responsibility for the first grenade attack that had been unleashed in the Valley post scrapping of Article 370. The attack had taken place on 12 October last year. The TRF had thereafter also owned responsibility for another such attack which had occurred within a fortnight of the earlier attack.

On 23 March, the UT's police had arrested six men in North Kashmir's Kupwara district, who had all claimed to be a part of the TRF. Their interrogation had led the police to their bank of arms which lead to seizure of over 89 hand grenades, eight AK rifles, 10 pistols, 20-odd detonator fuses and ammunition.
