Nirmala Sitharaman: Team India's Victory In Australia Showed Indian Youth's Thirst For Success

The Union Budget for FY 2021-22 was presented today (1 February) in the Lok Sabha by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

Right in the first few minutes of her speech, she gave the reference of the Indian cricket team's (men) recent victory in the Test series in Australia.

The Finance Minister said, to loud thumping of desks, that team India's victory symbolised the thirst for success that India's youth have.

The four-match Test series, was one by a score of 2-1 by India after losing the first game which saw a disastrous score 36 all out in the second innings. The fightback that team India showed after that to win the series won accolades world over.
