National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval on Saturday (21 December) held talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in New Delhi on decades old Indo-Sino boundary issue under the framework of special representative dialogue, reports Times of India.

According to the report, the two sides discussed various dimensions of the boundary issue during the talks. They also resolved to maintain peace and tranquility along the around 3,500 km long border between both the countries.

The visit of the Chinese FM, who arrived in India on Saturday night, was the first high-level visit from China after President Xi Jinping visited the country for the second informal summit in Mammallapuram in October.

Both, Doval and Wang are the designated special representatives of the two countries for the boundary talks.

As per the report, the Chinese FM had to Visit India in September but the trip was postponed then.

As many as 21 round of talks have taken place between the two sides under the framework of special representative dialogue, that was set up for finding an early solution of the border dispute.
