No incidents of violence have been reported from Srinagar as intense security arrangements remain in place following the scrapping of the special status accorded to Jammu and Kashmir.
As reported by journalist Aditya Raj Kaul, Srinagar remains calm and students in the city have expressed their desire to get back to their college from tomorrow. The administration would thus provide buses for the movement of the students to and from the college.
Meanwhile, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval is expected to visit Kashmir along with other senior officials to review the security situation.
It was earlier reported that close to 8,000 paramilitary troops have been airlifted and moved in from Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Assam and other parts of the country to the Kashmir valley following the Article 370 order.
