After several media reports emerged, in addition to a statement by Republican senator Lindsey Graham to CNN, it seems very likely that the Obama administration was set to slap a new round of sanction on Russia for its alleged interference in the United States presidential election of 2016.
President-elect Donald Trump, however, disagrees with the move to impose sanctions on Russia. According to a Russia Today report, on being asked by reporters if imposing the sanctions would make any sense, Trump said the country needed to move on.
