Left-leaning student groups in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) tried to prevent Milind Kamble, a Dalit entrepreneur and Chairman of DICCI, from speaking during a ceremony to name the university’s library after Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar.
Left-wing activists, who often raise slogans in ‘solidarity’ with Dalit students, raised objectionable slogans against the guest and tried to stop the event.

“Went to JNU library today after a long time & guess what? Extreme goonism & hooliganism by the comrades & Islamists to stop Milind Kamble... Everyone else was allowed to speak but when it came to Kamble, all hell broke loose,” said Abhinav Prakash, who shared the video on Twitter and Facebook.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently praised Kamble on Twitter for writing what he called an ‘insightful’ article on MUDRA Yojana & its positive impact. So, in all probability, the left-wing unions tried to prevent him from speaking on the basis of ideological differences. This only points to the fact that the Indian left is becoming increasingly intolerant towards those who do not conform to their preconceived biases.
