Islamabad has removed a prominent Khalistani separatist Gopal Singh Chawla from Pakistan's top Sikh body, a day before the second round of India-Pakistan official talks to decide on the modalities of the Kartarpur Corridor, reports Zee News.
Chawla has been removed from the Pakistan Sikh Gurudwara Prabandak Committee (PSGPC), the umbrella organisation of the Sikh community in Pakistan.
Pakistan has issued a new notification regarding the PSGPC includes four members from Pakistan's Punjab province, three from northern Kyber Pakhtunkhwa, two from Sindh and one from Balochistan.
Chawla, a well known Khalistani separatist, is also a close aide of 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed. Pakistan's Khalistan propaganda like 'Referendum 2020' has been taking roots at the Sikh shrines in its territory whose offshoots have reached as far Britain, Canada, US and Australia.
The talks on Kartarpur Corridor shall happen on Sunday at the Attari - Wagah border with New Delhi supposed to take up a number of issues with Pakistan which includes the number of visitors that can be allowed, infrastructure, safety and security of pilgrims.
