Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Tamil Nadu today (8 April). He will start his visit by inaugurating the newly built integrated terminal of the Chennai airport.
From the airport, he will proceed to the Chennai Central railway station, where he would inaugurate the Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat and flag off an express train between Tambaram and Sengottai.
After that, he would inaugurate the broad-gauge section between Thirutharipoondi and Agasthiyamapalli.
Among the road projects to be inaugurated are a 7.3 km long elevated corridor in Madurai and a 24.4 km long four-lane stretch on National Highway 785, which connects Madurai and Thuvarankurichchi.
He would also lay the foundation stone of road projects on National Highway 744, which connects Kollam and Madurai.
