Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday (27 December) claimed that the National Population Register (NPR) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) are like a “tax on the poor”, and compared them with demonetisation, ANI has reported.

Rahul Gandhi also alleged that, “It is an attack on poor people, now the poor is asking how will we get jobs?”
The Congress party had recently organised an anti-CAA protest at the India Gate but Rahul Gandhi was missing from the event prompting party workers to wonder as to where he was.
