Condemning the atrocious acts of lynching, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Mohan Bhagwat said on Tuesday (24 September) that the swayamsevaks of the organisation work stop such acts, reports Financial Express.

Bhagwat also underscored that if any swayamsevak was found guilty of partaking in any such action, the RSS would disown him. Bhagwat made the strong statement while interacting with over 80 journalists who represented the foreign media.

Bhagwat asserted that the RSS condemned all forms of violence. This came even as the opposition parties have repeatedly blamed organisations like RSS and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of buttressing such violent incidents of lynching.

The BJP and RSS though have repeatedly rejected such charges and have pressed on the state governments to ensure that due action under the law is taken against the perpetrators of such crimes, given law and order is a state subject.
