According to a report by The Indian Express, Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Monday that she was ready to apologise after her video clicking selfies on the edge of a cruise ship went viral. She, however maintained that the position in which she was sitting was “quite safe”.

Soon after the video went viral, Twitter raged with trolls against her for taking selfies in a risky fashion.

"The spot where I clicked the selfie was not dangerous because there were two more steps below," she told a Marathi news channel.

This incident happened when Amruta was attending the inauguration of domestic cruise liner ‘Angriya’ on October 20.

"If anyone thinks I have made some mistake, then I apologise for it. I want to tell the youth that they should not take excessive risks to take selfies," she added.
