Sanctum Sanctorum Of Ram Mandir In Ayodhya To Open For Devotees By 2023 End: Temple Trust's General Secretary

The sanctum sanctorum of the grand temple of Lord Ram, which is being built in Uttar Pradesh (UP)'s Ayodhya, will be opened for devotees for worshipping the child deity, or Ram Lalla, by the end of 2023, reports Hindustan Times.

Meanwhile, the construction of the entire 70-acres ampus of the temple will be completed by the end of 2025 as per the details shared by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust's general secretary Champat Rai.

Rai made the announcement after a meeting of the 15-member trust with engineers and architects. The said meeting was chaired by trust chief Nripendra Misra.

Presently, engineers are working on the foundation of the temple and it is likely to be completed by 15 September. The second phase of the work is likely to start in November.

For the construction of the temple, sandstone from UP's Mirzapur and Rajasthan's Jodhpur, marble from Rajasthan's Makrana and pink stone from Rajasthan's Bansi Paharpur is being used.

Once completed, the temple will also have the provision of rainwater harvesting. All the existing trees in the complex will also be preserved so that they provide natural cooling to the devotees.
