The president of the Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh (UP) Sikh Sangathan Jasvir Singh Virk has given a call for the boycott of the fellow Sikh brothers who have come out in support of the government's three farm sector legislative reforms, reports Times of India.

Singh has also claimed that of the handful of Sikhs from Uttarakhand has gone to meet with Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, many of them were just wearing turbans to look like Sikhs, and that a majority of them were not even farmers and were into sand and gravel business.

This comes after a delegation of farmers from Uttarakhand, which included Sikh members, had reached out to Tomar along with Uttarakhand's Education Minister Arvind Pandey to extend their support to the government and to justify the three laws.

While calling for a boycott of the Sikh members who had met Tomar, the Uttarakhand and UP Sikh Sangathan has also appealed to the farmers of the two states to reach Delhi to observe the martyrdom of Guru teg Bahadur on 19 December, asserting it will be the final push towards 'victory'.

This comes as the protestors continue to demand the withdrawal of the three laws.
