So, No WikiLeaks Bomb For Hillary After All?

If some reports in the media are to be believed, WikiLeaks has cancelled a much-anticipated announcement of controversial information related to Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

The founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, was set to make the announcement from the balcony of the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where he is currently living in asylum. Assange can’t move out of the embassy, as officials in Sweden seek him on criminal charges.

But a section of the media has also claimed that the announcement will be made, as scheduled, in a video conference in Berlin, marking WikiLeaks’ tenth anniversary. At the time of writing this, no official confirmation has been received.

Assange has already played an important role in the presidential race by releasing a portion of hacked emails that appear to show officials within the Democratic National Committee planning ways to hamstring Senator Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign. Assange promised more emails would follow.

Though no announcements made in the past have posed a danger to Assange’s life, US officials have often made threatening statements directed at him in the past. But any significant revelations about Clinton at this point in time can prove disastrous for her, as she has been steeped in controversies throughout her presidential campaign.
