The Supreme Court has extended the deadline for linking of Aadhaar with various schemes and services up to 31 March, News18 has reported.

The deadline for linking Aadhaar with mobile services, set as 6 February by the apex court earlier, has also been extended up to 31 March.

The decision to extend the deadline comes days after the government decided to extend the deadline for linking Permanent Account Number (PAN) with Aadhaar by three months to 31 March.

The government had on Thursday informed the Supreme Court that it was willing to extend to 31 March next year the deadline fixed for mandatory linking of Aadhaar for availing various services and welfare schemes.
