Direct to Home (DTH) operator Tata Sky has announced a collaboration with CuriosityStream, an American factual media and entertainment company, Dream DTH reports.
Now, the content of the John S Hendricks-founded TV network that includes documentaries, TV shows and short form videos will be available on the DTH platform and its mobile application.
It will be named ‘Tata Sky CuriosityStream’ and will be available on channel number 715. As of now, it can only be viewed in standard definition and documentaries will be aired throughout the course of the day. There is some uncertainty over whether the users would have to pay for the channel going ahead or not.
The ‘Tata Sky CuriosityStream’ is available in both live feed and a seven days catch-up feature currently and it will offer educational, non-fictional content on science, technology, history, society, lifestyle and other issues.
The TV network had formerly partnered with Bharti Airtel in 2019 and had an almost year-long alliance with the telecommunications company until August 2020. CuriosityStream is arguably looking to fill the void left vacant after the separation with Airtel by collaborating with Tata Sky now.
