India’s leading DTH operator Tata Sky has now made it easier for its Multi-TV customers to add and remove channels from their package, Dream DTH has reported.

Under this new system the Multi-TV users would be able to select different channels for specific set-top-boxes using its SMS service. When it comes to multi-TV connection, there are different box IDs for primary connections.

This 4-digit box ID can be found on the top right hand corner of each set-top-box.

As per the report, in order to add any channel for a particular connection the customers would need to text - “ADD [Channel number] [Box ID]” to 56633 from the registered mobile number.

Similarly in order to remove a channel they would need to text - “DROP [Channel number][Box ID]” to 56633.

For example if one needs to drop channel number 172 from set top box number 1524 - you have to SMS “DROP 172 1524” to 56633.

This can also be carried out free of cost using WhatsApp service by giving a missed call to 92296-92296 from the registered mobile number and then adding 1800 208 6633 to your contact list as Tata Sky’s WhatsApp number.
