British Prime Minister Theresa May, who is going into 8 June general election amid her worsening counter-terrorism record in wake of multiple terror attacks in London in recent months, has said that she will change all human rights laws that get in way of security agencies trying to prosecute and deport terror suspects.

“If our human rights laws stop us from doing it, we will change the laws so we can do it,” she said, adding the “work” would start the day after the election.

May is facing criticism following reports that the three Islamist terrorists, who killed seven in London last weekend, were able to do it despite the local police and British intelligence agency MI5 knowing about their activities.

She has made similar statements in the past, taking to task the left-liberal elite in the West that espouses the cause of human rights for all, irrespective of their activity. In October 2016, May had attacked "left wing human rights lawyers" who "harass" Britain's armed forces, promising to not allow them to do so in the future.

“Will never again in any future conflict let those activist left wing human rights lawyers harangue and harass the bravest of the brave: the men and women of our armed forces,” May had said addressing a party conference.
