United States President Donald Trump in a statement issued on Saturday (8 November) has asserted that the 2020 Presidential Polls are far from over and that his team will start mounting a legal challenge in the courts from next week, Reuters has reported.

"We all know why Joe Biden is rushing to falsely pose as the winner, and why his media allies are trying so hard to help him: they don't want the truth to be exposed. The simple fact is this election is far from over", Trump said in a statement.

He went on to claim that Biden has not been certified as a winner in any of the states including highly contested ones.

"Beginning Monday, our campaign will start prosecuting our case in court to ensure election laws are fully upheld and the rightful winner is seated", the statement adds.

Trump and his supporters have alleged electoral fraud perpetrated via mail-in votes, which they claim resulted in him losing key states like Pennsylvania.

They allege that Trump's legal observes were not allowed meaningful access to watch the counting process and accused the Biden campaign of wanting to allow the counting of "fraudulent, manufactured" votes or those allegedly cast by "ineligible or deceased voters".
