Three IAS Officers Booked For Corruption In Bihar Over Misappropriating Crores In Government Funds

The State Vigilance Bureau of Bihar has filed charge sheet against six people in a case of corruption. Three of the six people are serving Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officers names SM Raju, KP Ramaiah and Ramashish Paswan, reports UNI India.

The said charge sheet was filed in the court of special judge Madhukar Kumar under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Prevention of Corruption Act (PCA).

The accused have been booked for the alleged crime of misusing official position and powers to misappropriate government funds meant for different schemes and initiatives. These include the construction of a community hall, a school uniform scheme and also a programme to distribute books among school going students.

It has been alleged that an amount of more than Rs 2 crore has been misappropriated in the case by the several accused.
