The Indian Embassy in Japan made public the information on Monday (24 February) that two more Indian nationals aboard the Japanese cruise ship Diamond Princess have tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus, reports Asian News International (ANI).

The total tally of Indians aboard the cruise ship who have tested positive for Novel Coronavirus has reached to 14. The Embassy has however also reported that the affected are responding well to the treatment.

The last group of results for Indians aboard the ship are set to be released on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Embassy has expressed hope that no more Indians will be found to have been positively affected by the virus.

The ship had a total of 138 Indians onboard which included 132 crew members. The ship was quarantined off the coast of Japan on 5 February when a former passenger of the cruise had tested positive for the virus.
