Two Pakistani drug peddlers were shot dead by the Border Security Force (BSF) in the Anupgarh sector in Rajasthan on Wednesday, reports WION.
The individuals were attempting to trespass the international border and smuggle in eight kilograms of heroin that was later recovered from them. Along with that, a couple of pistols and night-vision binoculars have been recovered from them.
One of the two people identified is named Shahbaz Ali and a Pakistani national identity card was found along with him. The peddlers had thrown five packets across the border fence. They were challenged by the BSF as they tried to cross the boundary.
The two smugglers ran back and thus were eliminated by the personnel of the Indian forces. Pakistani Rangers patrols the border for the neighbouring country. They refused to accept back the bodies of the drug peddlers. The soldiers from the BSF performed their last rites and buried the bodies of the Pakistani nationals.
Multiple such attempts to illegally sneak narcotic drugs into the Indian Territory are believed to take place, which the BSF deals with on a regular basis.
