Union Health Minister Lauds Himachal Pradesh For Progress Made In Healthcare Sector

Union Health Minister JP Nadda has lauded the progress made by Himachal Pradesh in healthcare, saying that the state has been rated the best performing state in the healthcare sector in India, reports Business Standard.

Nadda was speaking in Dharamshala on Friday (2 November). He was chairing the cooperation and contact programme organised on the occasion of the launch of 'MSME 59 Minutes Portal'.

He appreciated the Himachal Pradesh government for its excellent performance saying that at the fifth National Summit on Good and Replicable Practices and Innovations in Public Health Care Systems held on October 30, 2018 in Kaziranga, Assam, HImachal Pradesh was lauded as the best performing state in India.

The minister also outlined the efforts made by Modi government in improving the economy and policy climate in the country.

Referring to the phenomenal progress made by India in ease of doing business, he said, "When Prime Minister Narendra Modi took over the reins of governance, India's position in the ease of business was 143rd. With the efforts of the Prime Minister, the country has reached 77th position and will soon make its place in the first 50 countries."

The Union Health Minister said that the ‘MSME 59 Minutes Portal’ had been started for facilitating loan clearance for small and medium enterprises only in 59 minutes.

He said that 45 per cent contribution of total production and 40 per cent of total exports are carried out by the MSME sector.

Himachal Industry Minister Bikram Thakur was also present. He said that the Himachal government had started several schemes to promote MSME sector. The government is making a decision that all schemes of public welfare should be properly grounded, he added.
