Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Samajwadi party supremo Akhilesh Yadav has reportedly sought reservation proportional to the population of castes.

He has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led government of seeking to divide backward classes.

He is quoted as saying: “The BJP government is trying to divide the other backward classes (OBCs) under backward and most backward categories. As per chief minister Yogi Adityanath, only one caste was getting the benefit of reservation.”

He posted a new slogan on Twitter, referring to the tasks left incomplete in Chitrakoot by the ruling BJP government.

He was speaking in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh. Yadav has accused the BJP of being a party of liars.

Yadav alleged that Adityanath has changed the names of schemes brought by the SP government, and added that state's BJP government has not given any new project to Chitrakoot.

Yadav said that the Adityanath government has no concrete plan for Covid-19 vaccination. He also attacked Adityanath over the Badaun rape and murder case.
