UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath went for a surprise inspection of Lucknow’s Hazratganj police station

Yogi Adityanath, the newly-elected Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh (UP), today paid a surprise visit to Lucknow's Hazratganj police station for inspection. The saffron-robed politician, accompanied by Director General of Police Javeed Ahmed, checked the work process at the police station and made sure that the officers are working to improve the law and order situation in the state.

Other than the Hazratganj police station, Adityanath also inspected the office of Superintendent of Police from western UP. According to News18, Adityanath inspected every room of the station, even the locker.

According to The Financial Express, Adityanath said that he visited the police station as he wished to find out if the officials were working properly or not. He told media that he has asked officers to spend more hours in the office and serve the people. He also mentioned that this surprise visit was not the last one and said that the police should respond immediately to public complaints.

Improving law and order situation in the state is one of the most important promises that the Bharatiya Janata Party made during its election campaign. The Chief Minister, it seems, has taken upon himself to make sure that the promise is fulfilled.
