UP: Controversial AAP Leader Somnath Bharti Wishes Death On Yogi Adityanath After Ink Attack

Controversial Aam Aadmi Party leader Somnath Bharti was caught on camera wishing death on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath after a reported ink attack on him in Rae Bareli.

In a viral video, Bharti with ink smeared on his face can be heard saying, "Yogi ki maut sunischit hai (Yogi's death is certain)", while rudely addressing a police official on Sunday (10 January).

"Yogi ko bol do ye sab karne se kuch nahin hoga...pulis ke sanrakshan mein gunde palte hain yahan pe (Tell Yogi he won't achieve anything from the ink attack, cops give protection to goons in the state)", Bharti added.

Bharti was reportedly ink attacked by a man after he claimed that Yogi Adityanath will not return to power. The attacker allegedly said Yogi will indeed return back to power and also chanted Bharat Mata Ki Jai following which Bharti aggressively went after him and had to be restrained.

As per reports, Bharti has now been arrested in Jais, following an FIR over his derogatory statement against Yogi Adityanath.

Bharti had reportedly gone to Rae Bareli to visit a government school as part of his party's campaign against UP's state run schools.

Bharti a former Delhi Minister and current MLA has been accused of harassment, cheating and criminal intimidation in a domestic violence case filed by his wife.

He has also been accused of running a spam website and was dubbed as one of the top three spammers in India.
