Up In The Air: Here’s What You Can Expect At Aero India 2019

The next edition of Aero India 2019 is scheduled to be held between 20 and 24 February, Bangalore Mirror has reported. Indigenously built GENJET GLJ3X1 will be participating with other aircraft and helicopters.

More than 175 Indian and foreign exhibitors have signed up for this edition of Aero India. On behalf of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH), Light Utility Helicopter, Light Combat Helicopter (LCH), Hindustan Turbo Trainer and HAWK-I will participate in the show.

The light business jet GENJET GLJ3X1 is an aircraft to look out for. The jet has been developed by Genser Aerospace & IT Pvt. Ltd. The features of the jet contains a twin turbofan engine with a cruise speed of 840 kmph.

ANTONOV 132D, Airbus A400M, C295, Airbus H135 and H 145 are some of the international names that will be present during the air show. The Surya Kiran Aerobatics Team, Yakovlev aerobatic team and the Skycats will be some of the attractions at Aero India.

Indian Air Force is currently looking for 110 multi-role fighter aircraft. Eurofighter Typhoon, Lockheed Martin F-16, MiG-35 are some of the notable players who have replied to IAF’s Request for Information (RFI). In the previous edition of Aero India, about 72 aircraft had taken part.
