The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) Noida unit arrested six people from a ‘solver gang’ in connection to the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) Mandi Council exams, India Today reports.
The UPSSSC had invited candidates to apply for the posts of 248 Mandi Inspector, Junior Assistant, Market Supervisor grade II and Account Clerk.
The exam was conducted on 30 May in two shifts at Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Bareli, Lucknow, Mathura, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Prayagraj, Saharanpur and Varanasi.
According to the investigation conducted by Uttar Pradesh STF, the examination controller and cheating syndicates had colluded. Varanasi Police was able to retain sealed question papers from the printing press office of Kaushik Kumarkar in Kolkata.
Kaushik Kumarkar was already enlisted as a defaulter by the UP government, and according to ANI, questions are being raised to why the contract was awarded to his company.
