The Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari will lay the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 1,224 crore pertaining to widening and improvement of National Highways works in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday (9 October), PIB has reported.
The projects include widening and improvement of Ramjanaki Marg (NH-227A) from Ayodhya Cantt to Rampur (55 km) at the cost of Rs 315 crore. In addition to this a 35 km highway from Rampur to Sikriganj estimated at Rs 250 crore.
Nitin Gadkari will also lay the foundation for the 14 km long Basti Ring Road Phase 1 which will be completed in Rs 450 crore. The widening and improvement of the 35 km long Badhni -Shoratganj section of NH-730, to be undertaken for a cost of Rs 200 crore will also be initiated by the minister.
The work on creating infrastructure has been a top priority for the current government, especially in the less developed regions of the country. Recently, Nitin Gadkari dedicated the upgraded section of National Highway 44 (NH-44) from Jowai to Ratacherra at the Assam border.
