At least three people have been killed in another shooting incident in the United States (US), reports Times of India.

The incident took place near a popular shopping area in the northwest part of Austin which is the capital city of the State of Texas. The police is said to have confirmed the identity of the shooter and is presently engaged in the search for the suspect.

This comes at a time when the US has witnessed a spate of such gun violence instances in the recent past causing several deaths.

In the wake of the situation, the police administration has urged the residents to avoid the area. The police have however also said, "While the suspect is still at large, it appears this is a domestic situation that is isolated and there is no risk to the general public."

Austin-Travis country emergency medical services department had earlier said that three adult patients were dead at the scene of the shooting. An hour after the incident was first reported, the department had then said on Twitter that no additional patients had been reported or located as of that time.
