Search engine giant Google was accused by the United States (US) President Donald Trump for hiding fair media coverage on him, without citing any specific details, reports Deccan Chronicle.

According to him search results on “Trump news” showed reports only from what he accused as ‘fake media’. Accusing Google and others he said, “They have it rigged, for me and others”.

He further added that Google, subsidiary of Alphabet Inc unduly promoted mainstream media outlets such as CNN and suppressed conservative political opinion.”This is a very serious situation will be addressed!” Trump said in a series of tweets without disclosing any further details.

Trump had earlier accused social media including Twitter and Facebook of censorship. He has long criticized news media coverage of him, frequently using the term ‘fake news’ to describe critical reports.

Social media companies had suspended accounts, banned certain users and removed content as they face pressure from the US Congress to police foreign propaganda and fake accounts aimed at disrupting American Polity and Trump’s new accusations on Google comes as a followup.

US lawmakers have summoned Twitter Chief Executive to testify before US House of Representatives committee on 5 September on concerns regarding removal of content of some conservative candidates.

Apple Inc, Youtube and Facebook had earlier removed contents from Infowars, a website run by conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and his account was suspended from Twitter subsequently.
