Uttar Pradesh: 146 Km Long National Highway Projects Built With Rs 3,037 Crore Inaugurated In Mirzapur

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh (UP) Yogi Adityanath on Monday (20 December) laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 232 km of National Highways (NH) planned and built with an investment of Rs 4,160 crore in Jaunpur and Mirzapur in UP.

In Jaunpur, the foundation stone was laid for three national highway projects, which will cover 86 km and will be built with a total cost of Rs 1,123 crore.

In Mirzapur, four National Highway projects worth Rs 3,037 crore with a total length of 146 km were inaugurated.

Addressing the functions, Union Minister Gadkari emphasized infrastructure development for employment generation and economic prosperity. He said the union government is committed to the development of Uttar Pradesh.

“These road projects will boost the development of the state, provide better connectivity in the region and will double the pace of development of the state,” he said.

The Minister said these road projects would facilitate the movement of goods with better connectivity in the region. He added that it will facilitate access to markets for agricultural produce, local and other products.
