After the successful integration of 'Vahan' software developed by National Informatics Centre (NIC) on the Yamuna Expressway, authorities are in the process of doing the same with higher traffic management system (HTMS) of Noida-Greater Noida expressway too, reports The Times of India.

This is reported to help officials to get the details of traffic violators and a history of traffic violations. The project has seen success in Yamuna expressway as officials can access complete information of the traffic violator within minutes and e-challans are issued to offenders.

The integration is already under progress in 12-13 districts in Haryana. The Noida traffic cell under the Noida authority is in charge of the project and talks with vendors and NIC are progressing, TOI quoted SP of Noida traffic as saying.

Traffic police are trying to link their newly launched e-challan mobile application with Vahan database with National Informatics Centre, so that e-challan generated at any of these roads can show the previous history of the violator.
