Popular Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal who was praised for his role in the movie Uri: The Surgical Strike, has shared his first look as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw for the upcoming biopic on the legendary Indian Army general’s life.
While paying a tribute to Field Marshal Manekshaw on his death anniversary, Kaushal described that he was honoured and grateful for getting a chance to play the swashbuckling Indian general.

Like Uri: The Surgical Strike, the movie would be produced by Ronnie Screwvala, It would be directed by filmmaker Meghna Gulzar.
Kaushal’s last movie on the famed Indian Army surgical strike was a big box office hit with collections exceeding Rs 245 crore. The movie as a result also helped Bollywood achieve record first quarter figures.
Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw served as the Indian Army chief from 1969 to 1973. Under his leadership, India was credited with achieving a swift and decisive victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war which saw the creation of Bangladesh.
