Vivek Agnihotri ‘Attacked’ By NSUI In Ahmedabad, Before Lecture On ‘Urban Naxals’ At Vadodara’s MS University 

Vivek Agnihotri, Bollywood director and author of the book Urban Naxals, and Prafulla Ketkar, Editor of the weekly Organiser concluded a lecture on ‘Urban Naxalism’ at MS University on 24 November, reports Indian Express.

A think tank organised the lecture. “The so-called phenomenon of Maoism and Naxalism has always been urban in genesis. People in the forests take up guns, without having any idea about Marxism or Maoism. They are fighting for their cause, putting forth an issue, but people from the urban areas have always influenced their ideological framework,” Ketkar said while speaking at the lecture.

Agnihotri, meanwhile, said that there are concerted efforts to destroy Hindu civilisation. “All civilisations have eventually come to an end. The only remaining civilisation is Hindu civilisation, which is the most ancient and diverse, as well as the Chinese civilisation, which is closed. There is a concerted effort to break Hindu civilisation and end it.”

Agnihotri alleged that a group of NSUI students attacked his car and raised slogans against him, during his visit to Bhavan’s College in Ahmedabad earlier in the day.

NSUI, however, denied the allegations.
