Earlier today, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) tested an indigenously developed anti-tank guided missile from an Arjun tank.
The missile test, second one by the DRDO in the last nine days, was conducted at the Indian Army's firing range in Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar.
The missile was “successfully tested, defeating a target located at longer range”, the DRDO said in a tweet after the test.
The DRDO had tested an anti-tank missile on 23 September.
“The missile employs a tandem High-Explosive Anti-Tank [HEAT] warhead to defeat Explosive Reactive Armour [ERA] protected armoured vehicles,” the DRDO had said in a statement released after the test.
