Watch: Indian Coast Guard Rescues 16 Crew Members From Barge Sinking In Arabian Sea

As a testament to its boldness, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has rescued 16 crew members of barge MV Mangalam which reported aground off Mumbai coast.
In a risky sea and air coordinated operation amidst rough sea conditions, two Chetak helicopters have saved all the crew members.
The ICG has posted a video clip of the rescue mission on social media.

The Indian Coast Guard was established on 18 August 1978 by the Coast Guard Act, 1978 of the Parliament of India as an independent Armed force of India.
It operates under the Ministry of Defence and has jurisdiction over the territorial waters of India, including contiguous zone and exclusive economic zone.
