The deadly second wave of coronavirus pandemic in India is on a decline in the country. India reported the lowest daily rise in Covid-19 related deaths in the last three months on 6 July. As per the latest data, in the last 24 hours, the country has recorded 553 new fatalities and 34,703 daily new cases, which is also the lowest in 111 days.

With the decline in cases, many states have started easing Covid-19 restrictions. However, people have turned careless and seem to have forgotten covid-appropriate behaviour even as the second wave is not yet over in the country.

Recently, pictures of crowded streets in Manali went viral on social media and netizens could not stop themselves from expressing their disappointment over this 'irresponsible' behaviour.

Now, a similar video is making rounds on social media. In the video, claimed to be from the streets of Dharamshala, a young kid can be heard questioning the people walking out onto a street without masks.

Many experts have warned that a third wave is inevitable unless appropriate precautions and measures are taken by the public at large.

Notably, now a report has stated that the much-feared third wave of coronavirus is likely to hit India by mid-August, while cases may peak in September.

The report titled 'Covid-19: The race to finishing line', published by SBI Research, stated that vaccination is the only saviour as global data shows that, on an average, the third wave peak cases are around 1.7 times the peak cases at the time of second wave.
