The Pakistani Defence Minister Parvez Khatak claimed that the nation’s defence forces were ready but could not retaliate against the Indian Air Strike as it was dark.

As per a video posted by Journalist Naila Inayat, the Pakistani Defence Minister confirmed the air strike before adding that their Air Force was ready but as it was night-time they couldn’t assess the damage.
He went on to claim that the Air Force waited to first gauge the damage done (before taking further action).
This is the Defence minister of Naya Pakistan: "Our air force was ready but it was dark.." Guys, ghabrana nahi hai. #okbye

Incidentally the Defence Minister also added that if India “again” executes a similar action, they would retaliate.
It was earlier reported that the Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was heckled by opposition party members in the nations’s national assembly, who raised slogans like “shame shame”.
India has confirmed that it conducted air strikes deep inside Pakistan territory to completely destroy Jaish-e-Mohammed’s biggest terror camp.
Reports have claimed that a team of 12 Mirage 2000 jets dropped six bombs on the terror camp. This action has been hailed by many including former army chief General Bikram Singh who called it Surgical Strike 2.
