An Air India aircraft on the Vande Bharat mission from Dubai crashed at the Kozhikode airport on 7 August. Nayati Medicity from Mathura released a statement detailing on the situation. “The baby boy, weighing 2.75 kilos, was born to Megha (28) at 3.16 pm at our hospital on Saturday. Both the baby and mother are fine and are likely to be discharged in the next two days. It was a full term delivery,” the release read.

Explaining further on the mother’s health condition, it added, “The past month has been extremely difficult for Megha. Our obstetrics & gynaecology team, led by Dr Preeti Bhadauria, had been counselling her and strictly monitoring the health of the foetus. We are like an extended family to Megha. It is a happy moment for everyone here today.”

One of the members from the Sharma family spoke reiterated that the birth of the kid rekindles the happiness and joy that 32-year-old co-pilot Akhilesh Sharma radiated in their lives. The individual expressed that they are extremely happy and understand that Akhilesh must be overjoyed wherever he is today too.
