All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) supremo Maulana Badruddin Ajmal on 26 December threatened to smash a journalist’s head and attempted to assault him when the latter questioned him on a prospective alliance for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, reports Hindustan Today.
In video recordings of the incident, Ajmal can be seen getting aggressive with the journalist, pushing away his mike, and then trying to snatch away the same mike, all the while threatening him with gruesome consequences. Ajmal was addressing a meeting with the press after attending a function to felicitate winners of panchayat elections in Assam’s South Salmara district.
Since Twitter believes being a journalist is walking on a bed of roses. Watch AIUDF boss & LS MP Badruddin Ajmal lose cool after a journalist asked him if heâd join hands with BJP or INC at Centre. Calls him âson of a bitchâ, says âI have 1000s of men here. Youâll be finishedâ pic.twitter.com/L0klicC2Nz

All the journalist did was to ask Ajmal whether he would be allying with the BJP or the Congress for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
At that moment the AIUDF chief snapped, and yelled, “You all are the same who just want to target me. For how much money have you been bought by the BJP? Go, even your father is on sale there. Get out of here or I will smash your head. Go file case against me. I have thousands of men employed to fight for me.”
AIUDF party workers reportedly later forced the journalist to apologise on the spot.
Ajmal did, however, reveal that the AIUDF was looking forward to any arrangement that came as part of the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ in Delhi.
