With all the for labour codes having been passed by the two houses of the Parliament, the Government is now aiming to notify their implementation at one single go by December, reports Economic Times.

With the notification of the four labour codes, the Government will complete its ongoing round of massive labour sector reforms which it had begun to work on during its previous term from 2014-19.

While one of the four codes, the Code on Wages was passed by the Parliament last year itself, the Government had held back from its notification and implementation, given it wanted to implement all four codes and rules under them together as they are all interlinked.

For the final implementation, the Government is likely to notify the draft rules for feedback in the first week of November, post which final implementation will take place.

With these game-changing labour laws, the Government is aiming to shoot to the top 10 nations in the World Bank's ease of doing business index. presently India stands at 63rd position. This would aid the Government's bid to ease the business environment in the nation, also making it more attractive for the foreign entities to invest in India.
