The World Bank has lauded early deployment of technology backed Aarogya Setu smartphone application to help in contact tracing and containing the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in the nation, reports Times of India.
Making a mention of the application, the South Economic Focus report of the World Bank which was released on Sunday (12 April) underscored that innovative solutions could greatly help educate and track contagion across the populations at large.
It should be noted that merely days after the launch of the application by the Government, United States (US) based global technology giant Apple and Google announced on Saturday (11 April) that they had taken up the building of software for smartphones which would help in contact tracing, just as the Aarogya Setu application does.
